Blancpain further enriches its Air Command collection with a pair of new vintage-inspired chronographs. Paying homage to the brand’s well-known 1950s chronograph models, the modern models are available in two distinct case sizes: 42.5mm and 36.2mm.
Exuding a vintage ambiance and aviator style, all these watches are crafted from satin-brushed titanium with camouflage natural accents from the dial on the leather strap. The board, also crafted from titanium, incorporates a bidirectional rotating mechanism, when a black ceramic frame insert breaks up the tonal color scheme with a effective touch. The bezel white markings complement the Arabic volumes and tachymeter on the face, with a soft yellow shade adding to the vintage elegance.
Visible throughout the open caseback, the 18 carat gold oscillating weight is usually shaped like a vintage jet propeller - another jerk to the model’s aviation historical past and history.
Both Air Command Flyback Chronographs are powered by simply automatic movements, the F388B for the 42. 5mm type and the F188B for the 36 2mm model.
