It's genuinely difficult to believe this Diablo 4 could be just six months away. We've glimpsed very minimal footage from the gamein general although we have received huge Diablo IV Items, lengthy blog posts on its different games, and recently information about the game being a live service as well as the fact that it wasn't likely to sell power like its demented mobile game, Diablo Immortal.
It's been very easy to be skeptical of Blizzard due to the chaos in the company, which included the exploitation of workers and numerous high-profile departures, such as the original director who was responsible for Diablo 4 itself. It is true the fact that everything I've seen from and heard about Diablo 4 has looked fantastic, and exactly what I've been hoping to see from the game. There is no indication that we will be heading into something that is clearly a bad idea such as Auction House. Auction House, and barring any kind of Error 37 launch technical problems I'm having a hard time imagining how this is not going to be a major smash hit at a time that Blizzard badly needs one.
I do have some problem believing that an April 2023 date is going to stick. The is Triple A game production. It's almost as if the first announced date for a gameis, no however confident the designer seems in it, will almost certainly be delayed at the very least once. Let's call this"Starfield" rule "Starfield" rule. For Diablo, there's extra Blizzard drama to it, like the death of its lead throughout the production. Also, I would not be too shocked to hear that Diablo 4 was pushed into summer. Or, I guess a month from now when it's released, these plans from April could even change.
All of this is happening amid Microsoft seeking to buy Activision Blizzard for nearly $70 billion. The deal is currently fighting for approval in several countries. And although Call of Duty is the most prominent focus, the idea is that, in theory an owned by Microsoft Blizzard could be offering games for consoles as well as PC version of Diablo 4 on Game Pass in the same way that they do with almost everything they own. In contrast to Call of Duty, where previous Sony agreements might prevent the game from being released on Game Pass for a few years buy Diablo 4 Items, it's unlikely anything like that would apply to Diablo and it could be a pretty massive victory for Microsoft.
